ELIGIBILITY:
1. Any active Court Security Officer, Bailiff, Probation Officer or Law Enforcement Officer working for any court system in Arkansas.
2. Member of the Arkansas Court Officers Association for 2 years.
CRITERIA:
To be nominated for the Officer of the Year Award, the person must meet one of the following criteria:
1. Exemplary service.
2. Excellence in police work or outstanding performance of duties under unusual, complicated, or hazardous conditions.
3. Outstanding performance over a prolonged period of time or for designing and implementing exemplary problem-solving projects in cooperation with the community.
4. Awarded for heroic deed of courage at the risk of personal safety, or for meritorious service above and beyond the call of duty in assignments of great responsibility.
5. Awarded for conspicuous act of gallantry and heroism in circumstances where the officer was fully aware of the threat and acted at the risk of life and limb.
